The prices for the 2010 Lincoln MKZ are out and the starting price is WAY TOO MUCH. MKZ will start at $35 000. You can get a G37 for less than that. Seriously Ford it's time to cut that price. Lincoln is a rebuilding brand. Let's rebuild it.
Other cars in the same sorta target area: Infiniti G37 ($33,250), Audi A4 ($31,000), Acura TL ($34,955) and Cadillac CTS ($36,560). I think I'd buy an A4 first, followed by the Caddy, then the Infiniti. Although I'd buy the MKZ before the Acura. As a former Acura lover I hate the new styling
I think what Lincoln needs to do is get traction. EVEN if it means stealing Mercury sales. Go as low as Ford can go. Say make $1.00, yup a buck, profit on these cars. Sell a ton. Get people to want Lincoln again. Then come out with special editions with various ad ons for profits.
Oh but wait, there's more...HYBRID. Make it a hybrid and beat Lexus into the entry level luxury hybrid market.
I really want to love Lincoln again so come on Ford and step up to the plate.
