The Lexus ES has been the Buick/Oldsmobile vehicle for those who think French Vanilla is too fancy for them. It's never been a style winner but it has been a sales winner. The ES has been the top selling vehicle in the Lexus line up. Which says a lot about this car. I know I for one wouldn't run out and buy one but there is a market for a car like this. Hell, I wouldn't be caught dead in a Camry but in about 30 years when I'm retired and playing golf every day I may want an ES. Why? Well I know I'll want something comfy, hassle free and easy to drive. A car that I don't have to think about. That is what the Lexus ES is all about. Other car blogs and the commentators hate on cars like this but clearly this segment is a lot bigger than the market for Mustangs or Telsa's. It's a shame that this car is being pushed aside by Lexus by the more nimble IS and the future all hybrid Lexus. Will the old folks just go to the Camry or will Buick once again win them back!
