What If? Pontiac Vibe Becomes A Chevy

The Pontiac Vibe isn't my favorite car. On paper it should be. It's a four door hatchback just my cup of tea. Well besides a cup of convertibles. The Vibe is basically the Toyota Matrix/Corolla with Pontiac's face. The latest Vibe is much better then the original as Pontiac has dropped the ugly cladding look.

If Pontiac becomes a niche brand the Vibe won't fit the Pontiac's market. So what will become of the partnership between GM and Toyota? Well they should keep it going as this is the deal that brought us the Geo Nova. Bring this as a Chevy. When the new Cruze hit's Chevy dealers as a replacement for the Cavalier/Cobalt it'll be available as a two door and four door sedan. Leaving Chevy without a hatch to compete with the Mazda 3 and other hot hatches. Chevy would have it's own hot hatch with the Vibe. Of course it would need a new name. Corsica? Hmm...maybe not.
