Here are spy shots from GlobalMotors that show the 2010 X3 next to the current X3. From these pictures the X3 looks a bit rounder with the styling side bulges of the current 3-series. The X3 is a very popular vehicle at the local Bristol Farms and I can only assume the 2010 model will be more popular. Between the new X3 and the Z4 BMW's styling is getting a lot better. I'd rather have the Z4 but the X3 makes more sense for everyday life.
