2009 Buick Regal Is Back, But Only For China

Here are the official photos of the Chinese market 2009 Buick Regal. The Regal is basically the Saturn Aura / Chevy Malibu / Opel Insignia. All of which are based on GM's Epsilon II platform. With Saturn going buh-bye the next generation Malibu and a stretched version of the E II for the Buick Lacrosse are up next. The logical questions that begs to be asked is: Will The Regal Show Up in US Showrooms? I'd say yes! Seriously I am probably the only person under 50 still rooting for Buick but I think this is a good looking curving car. Of course by the time it hits market it'll be out of date like all GM cars.

With the new bailout plan Buick will be made up of the Lacrosse, Enclave and Lucerne. Sad thing is that I had to look up what the Lucerne was. In case you dont know it is a big bland styled Buick. Ugh! What Buick needs is the Enclave, Lacross, Regal and Skyhawk. Yup, bring the Skyhawk back also. The Enclave is a great looking CUV and the Lacross will be based on the stretched Epsilon II Platform so they can squeeze in the Regal below it. And then why not toss in the Cruze as the Skylark?
