Here is an ad for the Chevy Spark. The Spark is a city car that is basically a rebadged Daewoo that is not sold in the USofA. It's smaller than the Chevy Aveo and the new Pontiac G3. Even with gas at almost record lows of $2.00 a gallon we will never see this car. The car is sold in other countries under the following names:
Chevrolet Matiz
Chevrolet Spark
Chevrolet Joy
Pontiac Matiz G2
Pontiac Matiz
Pontiac G2
Chevrolet Exclusive
FSO Matiz
Chevrolet Taxi 7:24 Chronos
UZ Daewoo Matiz
Even if gas was at $5.00 a gallon it would cost GM too much to make this car comply with US car standards. Which just begs the question of why doesn't GM & Ford think globally including the US market when designing these cars in the first place. The Mini has been a huge seller and the Smart Car has been selling good enough. I think the market here in the US could sustain more city cars.
