Four or Five Doors either way this is the new Mazda 3 Hatchback. The new Mazda will be competing against the Toyota Matrix / Pontiac Vibe, Subaru Impreza and a few others in this growing market space.
The Mazda 3 has been the best looking 4 door hatch in it's category for years. With the latest edition of the Impreza look more ho hum than previous editions the field is wide open for Mazda's Zoom Zoom 3 to take over this marketplace. I don't even consider the Matrix/Vibe to even compete with the 3. Yes, the Matrix is a Toyota but it looks like an orphan child next to the Yaris, Corolla and bigger Camry. As for Vibe, well it's better now without the plastic cladding but it still has that Aztec styling.
The new Mazda 3 even with it's Hello Kitty cute face is sure to be a hit. But not in this blue color. It looks too blue. Almost Hello Kitty Blue or Smurf Blue
